For June’s SF First Thursday Art Walk The Loin presents DYoungV – ‘EVERYTHING MATTERS’, a solo exhibition/mural installation and collaborative apparel line with The Loin, featuring hats, tee shirts, beer koozies and patches. Both the mural and clothing line will be a unique depiction of DYoungV’s symbol based depictions of the Tenderloin and the wealth of feelings this highly distinctive neighborhood evokes. Also included will be a small series of his classic micron pen drawings, for which he is widely known.

David Young V has been operating out of San Francisco for the last 16 years. The majority of this time spent living and operating out of the Tenderloin. After receiving his MFA from The Academy of Art in 2006, he has been pursuing mural art, large scale gallery installations and illicit street art. His street works and murals can be seen throughout the SF Bay Area, the greater US, UK, Europe, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Mexico and Central America. His subject matter has been known to take on a variety of different themes and subject matter dealing in the realms of post apocalyptic narrative, the intricacies of human emotion, and the nature of community.
