David H. Robertson
We will be showing several new works by local artist David H. Robertson this week. In addition to the new pieces in the Gallery David is showing a new series, Notional Structure, at Stookey’s Club Moderne. David explains ” Notional Structure is a series of oil paintings executed during mid-2016. The notion of simple structures illuminated with colors, lines and shapes that act as both a visual statement and a question for the view. Each painting is intended to provoke the viewer to formulate some notion or idea in themselves independent of the artist, thus establishing a personal relationship.
